This laboratory was founded in 2003. We are trying to develop nanoparticle systems using polymer materials which have biodegradable and biocompatible properties. They may efficiently deliver the anti-cancer drugs, therapeutic proteins, and bioactive ingredients to our body. Our research needs the multidisciplinary study with polymer engineering, biology, pharmaceutics, and medicine. Currently we are working on the research using NT & BT technologies based on the polymer materials. One of our current research projects is developing targeted drug and gene delivery system using nanoparticles with biodegradable polymers and lipids. Other one is developing functional cosmetics for the anti-ageing agent. The nano structured anti-oxidant using biopolymer such as chitosan and hyaluronic acid are developed to encapsulate the vitamin C and E.
